The Fluke PRV240 Proving Unit is a portable, pocket-sized, battery-powered voltage source. It is unique because it sources stable AC and DC voltages for both LoZ and HiZ instruments. It provides a safe method to verify that your electrical test tool is operating properly before and after you conduct any live tests. The concept of “Test Before Touch” (TBT) involves testing your meter against a known live source before and after the actual measurement.

This sequence verifies that your test tool is operating properly through the actual measurement. Review the Fluke PRV240 data sheet for all technical specifications.

Product Warranty

The Fluke PRV240 carries a 1-year limited warranty against manufacture defects. This warranty does not cover fuses, disposable batteries, or damage from accident, neglect, misuse, alteration, contamination, or abnormal conditions of operation or handling.

  • Remove the batteries if the Product is not used for an extended period of time, or if stored in temperatures above 50 °C. If the batteries are not removed, battery leakage can damage the Product.
  • You must close and lock the battery door before you operate the Product.
  • Replace the batteries when the low battery indicator shows to.
